This week for the blog challenge is to write about what YYY means to me..
Well, it means a lot. I was first invited via myspace from Laura who was the original owner of the board. I signed up a did a few posts but I really didn't know the whole message board scene so I didn't go back for a while. Then after a few months I went back and got more used to it and I love that place! It really is my place to vent and to see what is going on with the other mommies who I feel are friends, even if they are on the computer :-). I'm a young mom and most of my friends from high school I dont even talk to anymore. The three that I do talk to, they are a mommy just like me and I actually brought one of those mommies to YYY.
I can vent there about any issue i am dealing with and I know that someone will give me good advice about it. After a few years I finally became a Moderator and I like that part of it. Sometimes it can be frustrating when only one other person comes to the board (my exceptional kids forum) but I try and that's all you can do, right? I'm also the co mod of Due in 2009 and that is fun too and definitley a more active forum.
If I didn't have YYY I don't know how I would keep my sanity sometimes... :-)

Another Trip to L & D
So On Tuesday I had to go up to the hospital again...
I had noticed some spotting and had never spotted during my other 2 pregnancies so it scared me. I had spotted previously during this pregnancy but I was really sick and was coughing really hard and my OB checked me at that time and everything was still fine. So I called the OB and he wanted me to go up to the hospital. After being there for 4 hours, getting blood work, urine tested, and a vaginal ultrasound it ended up being a Urinary Tract Infection. Which can make you spot. I'm still spotting so it's still worrying me but they said that unless I start bleeding really bad and have some bad cramping that's when ya definitley have to get to the hospital. So hopefully I won't be back until I have Mr. Austin!

Autism Speaks.. a cause I care about!
This week for the blog challenge it is about a cause you care about...
Obviously, something near and dear to my heart is my "bubby" Kameron who is diagnosed with Autism. I just recently started or tried to get more involved with Autism Speaks. Our chapter is for Tampa Bay and their office is located in Clearwater, but they say it's basically Pinellas Park. It's about a 45 minute drive to get there, but thats ok.
Last year, how I got involved was by forming a team for the Walk. It was last February and we raised a little bit of money and the team consisted of: Myself, Steve, Kameron, Faith, My Mom, Aunt Paula, Aunt Reba, and my 2 cousins Jasmine and Brandon. It was a 1 mile walk at MOSI and it was a cloudy day but we still enjoyed ourselves. There was a resource fair and other stuff afterwards, but we didn't stay for that.
This year, what I've done to get involved is to get all the cities and my county to proclaim April as Autism Awareness Month. I'll be going to each of the Cities City Commission Meeting to accept the proclamation. I've already gone to one, the City of Bradenton where I accepted that proclamation last Wednesday. After that meeting (it was at 6pm) I headed up to Clearwater for an Open House type of meeting which was fun. I gave the first proclamation to Krista who is like our chapter manager. She was excited to receive it and so happy that I'm helping. She calls me the "proclamation guru".
The walk is coming up for March 28th at MOSI again and I can't wait! I've raised $690 by myself to date. I've sent letters to over 90 different people. People who I wouldn't even expect to donate have, so that is awesome! My goal is to raise $1000.00 or more so I hope I can do it. There is one guy who has raised over $10,000 by himself!!! I'm not sure how he did it, but I'd sure love to pick his brain :-). We are also going to have a garage sale on Saturday the 14th and I'm hoping we get a good turnout for that. Our team is a lot bigger this year too! I wanted to get at least 10 of us to walk and that's exactly what I got! Me, Steve, Kam, Faith, My Mom, Aunt Reba, her son Brent and daughter in Law Jennifer, my Uncle Sterling, and my Aunt Paula. I'm sure my 2 cousins Jasmine and Brandon will walk too, but they are teenagers and too cool for stuff so we'll see if they come or not.
I won't be walking though, but helping at the registration booth since I will be 38 weeks prego and I can barely walk around walmart without having to pee a bazillion different times. I'm hoping to get more involved with the monthly meeting and see what else I can do for my area. There isn't much awareness about Autism and there needs to be!

Fave Recipe!
I have quite a few different recipes that I really like, but thought I would share the following one. I got it from my Aunt and Uncle and whenever we do a Pot Luck type of thing at work I always have to make this.
I call it "Taco Dip" but, it's a layered type of dip ;-)
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1- 8 oz container of: Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, & Taco Sauce
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Green Onions
Shredded Cheese
To prepare:
brown ground beef, add taco seasoning but only add a little bit of water although that differs from what the package says. Combine Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, & Taco Sauce this is your 1st layer(I usually use a mixer since the cream cheese is thick). Your 2nd layer is the taco meat mixture. Your 3rd layer is shredded cheese, tomatoes, green onions, and lettuce as desired.

My Trip to L & D
Well Monday and Tuesday I had been feeling misreble.. Wasn't sure if it was a stomach bug or braxton hicks or what. So I called my doctor yesterday afternoon after leaving work and since i'm at 33 weeks, they wanted me to go to the hospital. Well thankfully it is just the stomach bug. I'm not having any type of contractions and I'm not dilated or effaced at all. So I just need to keep up with the liquids to make sure I dont get hydrated or else I will start to have contractions. So for now I'm on the BRAT diet until things get back to normal with my tummy... I can't seem to stop burping or running to the bathroom... :-/ Hopefully it'll be over with soon!

My recent favorite photos
I'm not sure why, but I just haven't been in my picture taking mood lately. But here are some recent favorites of mine
My cousin Brandi and I at her Baby Shower. She is due to have her C-Section on the 26th of this month:

This is at my church where our cemetery is. I need to take more pictures like this around the church property.. More huge trees just like it

Then the last one of my lil stinky red head. At the same time I was taking this picture she was saying "CHEESE"

Very Excited!
Well, the Walk for Autism is more than a month away but I am getting excited!! I designed a T-Shirt and my aunt is going to look into pricing for me. They (my mom, aunt, a people from church) are doing the Relay for Life so my Aunt is looking into getting T-shirts for that event and said she would also look into getting t-shirts for the Walk for Autism as well. Last Friday, I mailed out 30 letters to get donations from different people. So far 3 have responded and have donated $60. I will be mailing out more letters as each paycheck gets here.
The next batch of mailing will be to state representatives, the governor, and various mayor and commissioners in my county.
My goal is to raise $1000.00 or more by myself. I really hope I can do it!!!
I also am having the County and each City in my county proclaim April as Autism Awareness Month. So March I'll be busy going to various meetings to accept the proclamation. The meetings I have to go to will be March 9th, March 17th (that's in front of the Board of County Commissioners and our chapter representative is going to come w/ me), March 19th, and March 26th. I still have to get in contact with one other city so I'm not sure what date that is set for. Oh, and also April 8th. But I told the clerk there that my due date is April 9th, so not sure if I would be able to make it to accept it. She said if that was the case she would mail it to me :-).
And also, the 2nd Saturday in March (March 14th to be exact) we will be holding a garage sale at my aunt's house and all monies received is going directly to Autism Speaks! It was my aunt's idea, I thought of it but she was like we should do it so I'll be busy getting stuff together for that and pricing and all that. She's never held a garage sale before so we've got people helping us w/ loaning tables and such.

Geez it's been a while!
Thought I would come post since it has been MONTHS!
My pregnancy is going very well and I am very thankful for that!!! I passed my 1 hour Glucose Tolerance Test and was soo happy to hear that news!!!
This will be boy #2 for our family and his first name will be Austin. Still deciding on a middle name though.
Kameron and Faith are both doing very well. Faith is talking non stop and adding new words each day it seems to her vocabulary. We are definitley not used to a 19 month old talking as much as she is considering Kameron never did talk like she does, so that makes us happy :-)
Last Week I received an application for Kameron to have school choice. The deadline is next week and I will be dropping off the application. I really hope they approve for him to go to Prine if not, it will be a major change for him, and not a good one at that.
Next Month, March 28, 2009 our family will be participating in 2009's "Walk Now for Autism" for Tampa Bay chapter. I will not be walking, since I obviously will be about 38 weeks pregnant by then. Instead, I will be helping in getting people registered and those turing in their money on walk day. I am going to do my best to raise $1,000.00 or more. I've got $150 so far (even though it only shows $100 since my dad made a "general team" donation) so only $850 more dollars to go. One guy has raised close to $10,000!!!! That is just awesome!! We will also be holding a Garage Sale at my aunt's house to help raise funds as well. I hope that goes well!!!
Well, gotta get back to work!!!
